This new build project (run by @selfbuildArmagh) wanted a timeless and modern finish, making sure that the completed product feels homely and warm. Thankfully these clients had a keen eye for detail with the professions that they have, however it was very important for us to bring a functional layout to the table. This design illustrates the functionality of having a tall bank of housing units for ovens, fridges & freezers, keeping everything in the one place, making available wall and counter space for other key kitchen elements. A concealed entrance fits seamlessly into the kitchen design revealing a totally bespoke stunning Walk-in pantry.  Top open glazed frames with rippled glass soften and lighten a tall bank allowing for a little pocket of light, colour or somewhere to store your accessories. This feature island houses not only ample under counter storage but is the housing place of the Bora Induction hob with build in extraction – removing the need for ceiling extraction. This client did not hold back on the finishing touches with an immense list of other features including door panelled gables, custom made towel rail, feature chamfered posts, stepped solid plinth with toe space cut outs and a beautiful 80mm solid oak butcher block breakfast bar.

As these clients were a young, professional couple it was high on the priority list to include an area for entertaining. We included an integrated wine cooler with a concealed drinks cabinet – perfect for the housewarming party! As this space was an open plan kitchen, dining and living area the client also wanted to include an additional unit which would become their display area. The stunning centre piece is a gorgeous Terry Bradley original painting; either side of this is simple and stunning shelving with door panelled detailing and feature spotlighting. The addition of a beautiful window seat which sits harmoniously with the kitchen layout. Adding some chunky shelves keeps the over all feeling of the design light without adding to cost or leaving the design feeling top heavy.
